Okay, so I have finally found the time to take some pictures of my new tapestries. It's hasn't really been a time issue, but more of a space issue. With my studio being painted and organized, there was no room for my light box, and when you live in WI, a light box is a necessity. So I made room yesterday, I cleared out a space and set everything up.
We are working on an idea on how to make a permanent space for the light tent. That would be so nice to just pop over and take a few pictures when I need to. Unlike my current method of letting things pile up until I can't stand it any longer.
But on to what I have for today. I have two little tapestries done and I'm oh so happy with them. I definitely think I'm going to continue down this road of non beaded items. I'm having so much fun working on them and I feel so much more free to create whatever is in my head.
The first one is my super colorful one. All the wonderful colors of the rainbow in one small package. This was the first one I tried this idea out on and I'm in love. I love how sparkly and, well, colorful it is. I have it hanging in my studio right now, and it definitely brightens up the space.
And the second one I have had a much more muted color pallet. It went with blacks and silvers. A more elegant color pallet. I'm a sucker for swirls, so this one is right up my alley. It's in our living room right now and J doesn't think I'll be able to part with it. I think I can convince myself to. Hopefully.
I'm working on my next one that combines beads and brightly colored fabric and embroidery hoops. All good things. And I promise I'll get pictures of it as soon as it's finished (I think I've made this promise before).
I'm not sure if they should be called tapestries, but beaded picture just doesn't have that fantastic ring to it. So I'm going with tapestries for now. What would you call them?
Take care and have a fantastic Wednesday!

These are so cool, I've never seen anything quite like them! Your new piece incorporating fabric and embroidery hoops sounds lovely too!
Your beadwork is beautiful! I look forward to seeing the next one.
I would take a lot less pictures if I didn't have a permanent light box set up. Good luck with finding a place for your tent!
