Bracelets, bracelets, bracelets!

I have a couple new offering today.

First up is a wonderful lampwork and wire wrapped bracelet. It makes me think of warm spring days with little flowers poking there head up for the first time. And the thought of warm days right now is so wonderful since the Wisconsin winter has been so unforgiving this year.

I used a verity of different colors to make each on of the beads. They are very simple, but I think still are pretty. I paired them with copper wire, well because I love the way copper looks. I know a lot of people don't, but it's one of my favorite, so I use it a lot.

I also have a wonderful beaded bangle with a lampwork focal bead. I love, love, love these bangles. You can wear just one or stack them with others. They are really fun to wear.

This one I used a kinda gray transparent seed bead that has a great rainbow (AB) finish, so it gives it a kind of deep purple feel.

I used this fantastic frit that I was gifted (thank you anonymous gift giver from LWE) on the focal bead. It has hints of lavender, and pink, and dark purple. Oh I just love it. One of my friends and co-workers has a pair of earrings using this frit, those are also fantastic. I'm very happy to have been gifted this (along with a whole bunch other stuffs). I hope to be able to return the favore by sending out a fun gift in the future to a fellow lampworker).

New Bangle

I've been working on a bunch of stuff that is checkered. I like anything checkered, so why not try it with beads.

This is my absolute favorite thing so far. A fantastic black and white checkered bangle. Now I already love ALL bangles (they are so much fun to wear), but pair it with black and white checkers, and it's fantastic.

This is just something super fun for anyone.

I have a couple of checkered rings. They really seem to get a lot of attention at shows. People always pick them up. The younger crowd usually loves them. I'll have to get some pics up of the rings.

A Gift For a Friend

I made this bangle a little while back but never posted anything on it.I really love this one and I know it went to a good home.

I got these beads from a friend of the family (she’s my youngest sister’s godmother). I absolutely fell in love with them. They were so beautiful, and when the light hit them, they were even more beautiful. I wanted to make sure to thank her for this wonderful gift and all the other ones. She has sent me a number of different kinds of beads over the years; everything from glass beads to really wonderful coral beads. So I felt she definitely deserved a gift to thank her.

I used these fantastic beads to make a Ndeble rope. Because the beads are vintage, they were a little irregular, so I had to make sure to find the ones that were the same size, but I really love how the rope looks. The beads irregularities give it so much charm. I wanted to pair it with a lampwork bead, so I used some fantastic purple and pink frit I got as a RAGOK (thank you) to make a focal bead. I’m really happy with the bead now. I didn’t like it when I made it because I just couldn’t get the shape uniform. I kept trying, but I was slowly loosing the spirals in the middle, so I had to just call it a day and anneal it. But now I’m pretty happy with how it looks. And I know she loves it just as much.


I have a multi-strand bracelet listed in my store using the same beads.I posted a picture of it before, but here’s a little reminder of what it looked like. I’m in love with both styles. The beads just are so amazing, it doesn’t really matter what you do with them.
