Well, looky here, it's Friday again. The second half of this week went pretty fast, I can't say the same for the first half. I have now completed a full week at my new position and I finished teaching my first class at Madison College. That's pretty exciting. I'm very much enjoying my new position. My new PI is just like the last, she just lets me do my thing. I feel like I'm so much more productive when that happens. I've gotten a lot done, but there is a lot left to do. But that's okay, I like being busy again, it makes the day go by so much quicker.

My class at Madison College also went fairly well. I'm not sure. I had one no show and one student that only showed up for the first day, but all the rest of my students seemed fairly happy with everything. Well I'm sure they were as happy as they could be given the limitations of the classroom. But hopefully it went well. My next class is in two weeks at night downtown, so hopefully it will be better. That means I have to go get my Faculty ID, I've been putting it off. So I'll have to make some time.

I've also been working on custom order. I had to place a bead order, so I'm getting as much done as I can before the beads come in and then I'm going to be working like a mad woman. I'll only have a month and a half to get this one done. I sure hope I can pull this one off. Fingers crossed.

Well here we are again, it's Friday. And for most of us, this means, it's the weekend bitches! This past week has been a busy one. I've finished all my teacher training, so I'm ready to teach my class. I'm almost done with my first three lesson plans, which is a huge relief. I even have one mock class under my belt. I'm on a roll with this.  

I finished up both of my beaded cuffs that are due next Tuesday, ahead of schedule. That's a great feeling. Normally I'm working right down to the wire.  So to have this finish, it's great.

It's Friday!  It really hasn't been that exciting of a week here.  Nothing especially exciting happened, that I'm aware of.  I'm almost done with my two custom cuffs.  I should done with those this weekend, so that's exciting (that means photos next week).

I'm prepping for my class next week.  I've met with all sorts of people at the library and I've had my first training session.  I even have a mock class this weekend.  I have really great friends.  I can't believe how many people were interested in helping me out.  Like I said, I have great friends.

My studio is slowly, but surely becoming whole.  I've got more shelves up and I've started designing the shelving unit for me beads.  I'm excited.  J has plans on working on his motorcycle this weekend, but I'm hoping he has a little bit of time to help me start that.

Well, I'm not going to lie, this week sucked.  I have been sick all week with a cold from hell.  It started out as a small inconvenience, but by Wednesday, it was a full blow problem.  I can't breath, I can't sleep, I don't want food, I'm tired, and I have a terrible sinus headache.  So much fun.  So that means that I really didn't accomplish anything this week.  I did finish up the bead embroidery on my latest project, but I haven't started on the side because I just didn't feel like it.  I've sat on the couch covered in animals (they want to show me how much they love me???) and drug myself into the lab when needed.  I know, I should stay home when I'm sick, but it doesn't work that way when you have students.  And speaking of the lab, check out this article if you're interested in the work I do.

Hello Friday. I'm pretty glad to see you.  It's been a long week.  We got hit with our first major snow storm on Sunday.  I've started working out again (ugh).  And I've started working on a project at work that runs for a continuous 7 days and one of those days is 16 hrs long.  But that's how research goes, weekends and long days.  Oh well.

I haven't really gotten any beadwork done this week.  I just haven't had time.  But I am working on a custom leather order.  I can't wait to see this one finished.  It's not that intricate, but I think it will be cool.

Is the week almost over already?  This week seemed to fly by.  It was exceptionally busy week in the lab.  But I don't mind when it's busy, it makes the time go by much faster.  It wasn't an overly exciting week.  We have a new neighborhood owl that was hanging out in the back yard the other night.  That's cool.  I would really like to get a better look at him someday, see what type of owl he is.  We had an amazing dinner with friends at a local seafood restaurant last night.  The food was absolutely amazing.  It was a pretty fun night.  But other then that, the week was the same old.  

I'm working on a finishing up a few beady projects.  I have a new embroidered flower that I will share next week.  I'm hoping to have my beaded tin finished up by the end of the weekend, so I will also have that to share with you.  And I'm slowly, but surely, working on finishing up the solar system project.  Someday I'll finish that.

Well, well, well. Hello Friday. Well the holidays are over.  Okay, so they have barely begun in my house.  We've got three down, but have two more to go, plus new years.  So the holidays are almost over for us.  How about you guys?  Are you done celebrating, or do you have more to go?
