Pretty Blanket

Lookie what I made!!  Well what I'm making.

This is how far I've made it on my latest crochet project.  I picked up a bunch of this wonderful yarn at the thrift store a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to make something with it.  Someone must have bought it for a project that never was finished.  Well someone else's loss is my gain.  I'm making sure this yarn is put to good use.

I love how soft yet heavy the yarn is.  And I love the color.  It's one of my favorite colors.  I'm three skeins into it and have four more to go.  My plan is to crochet until I decided the blanket is finished or I run out of yarn.  It's a good plan.

Then I'm trying to decide if I want to do a little something extra for a boarder or if I should just leave it.  I guess I'll see when I get there.  I like these "seat of my pants" kinda projects.  No plans, just go and see where you end up.

Then after this I'll be working on something for my new niece.  Maybe one of those adorable new born stocking caps.  Or maybe a delicate blanket.  Hmmmmm.

Gorgeous! I can't believe you got that yarn at a thrift store. The great thing about crochet is that you don't always have to plan ahead!
