Weekend Wrap Up

Oh my, it's Monday again.  This weekend went exceptionally fast.  I honestly thought we had one more day last night.  Oh well.  Oh how time flies when you're having fun.

This weekend was a fairly productive weekend.  I finished up about 90% off the leather and stud cuff I was working on.  This cuff is going to the UW student I've been working with all year.  We've now moved on to leather cuffs and possibly even belts.

I also had a little bit of time to work on Jupiter.  Jupiter is seriously my favorite planet.  I am so excited to work on this.  I'm hoping that the rain will die down a bit and I'll have time to paint my canvas.  Then I can start arranging what planets I have finished.  Yipee!

I also was able to pick up a few color samples for the studio.  I was thinking about doing a bright green in there, but I just don't know if I would like it, so I went with yellow.  One is pretty dark and the other I think might be too light (you can barely see it in the photo), so I haven't decided one which one I like best or if I am even going to go with one of these.  I might try to find one that is between these two.

I also got a bunch of house stuff done this weekend.  I finally planted flowers out front, which makes the house look so much nicer.  My garden is coming along nicely.  And J and I worked on the steps for the deck.  Okay, J pretty much did all the work, but I helped a little.

Now today I have to get my butt back in the swing of things.  I have to make an appointment to get my hairs cut.  I need to make an appointment at the passport office (we're going on a much needed tropical vacation this year).  I need to get some stuff done around the house.  I have two show applications that have been sitting on my desk for a ridiculous amount of time that need to go out today.  I need to pay my license plate fee.  Then get some product photos taken and then hopefully have some time left to bead.

Wow, that's a lot, but that seems to be how Monday's go, doesn't it?  So I'm off to try and accomplish everything on my list.  I hope everyone had a great weekend and hopefully you're Monday isn't as crazy as mine. ;-)

If you want a lovely livable yellow try Behr Banana Cream (satin finish). I've painted two domiciles this color and my homes will always be this color! Really, it is not too bright and it is cheering and soothing at the same time - totally makes me happy!
