Monday, Monday

Is it really Monday again?  How did that happen?  Where did the weekend go?  I feel like I ask myself this question every week.  Oh well, I guess that's just how it goes.

This past weekend was okay.  We had a nice long weekend, but we were both sick, so we spent most of the time resting on the couch.  Fun times.  It has given me time to work on my Photoshop class, so I guess that's good.  But we haven't really accomplished anything else.

I did manage to finish up a little project for us before I was too sick to do anything.  We decided that we needed a beaded painting in our house, one that was made specifically for us.  So J suggested I make a little owl.  So off I went to make a little beaded owl.

And this is what I came up with.  Isn't he cute?

I raided my bead stash to find all kinds of goodies for this project.  I used fossil beads, antique coral (I was gifted this from a family friend years ago), cat eye cabs, ruby chips, and lots of bugle and seed beads.  I'm quite smitten.

He has been happily added to our large (and ever growing) art mosaic.

And here is another look at him before I framed him.  He makes me smile and I love him.  I think everyone should have one of these on their walls.  He just makes you happy.

We also have this beaded painting in our living room, but it won't be staying.

I love it so much, but I would like it to find a happy home with someone that will love it as much as I do.  Funny side note, J's dad doesn't like it at all, he actually doesn't like any of  the skull paintings I've done.  Oh well, you can't please everyone.  ;-)

I hope everyone makes it through their Monday.  What did everyone else do this weekend?

Your owl is so awesome! I agree with Grace that it's one of my favorite beaded wall art pieces thus far. He fits in so perfectly with your mosaic, too.
