Weekend Wrap Up

Monday, Monday. This weekend just seemed to fly by and it's not like we were really all that busy. J worked in the garage for most of the weekend (how and why in this muggy hot weather, only he knows). I worked on a few new projects.

This is the start to a custom cuff. I'm excited to see how this looks like when finished (when am I not). It's not the color scheme I normally go with, but that's the fun of doing custom work, you get to work in patterns or colors you normally wouldn't.

I'm also working on another project, but that one will have to wait a little bit to be shown off. Maybe next week some time.

Other then that, I didn't really do much else. I did buy a new pair of shows. Yay. Fun.

I also got a new bag.

I'm thinking about using it as a camera bag. It's quite large and I think it would make a good bag for day trips. I already have a nice insert that will fit almost perfectly. Yay, new bag.

So it was a pretty boring weekend. Had to get housework done as well as bead projects. Sometimes you don't get to have a fun weekend when there is work to be done.

Weekend Wrap Up

Wow, what a weekend. This past weekend was the first weekend that we had nothing planned. NOTHING! It's so strange and weird when that happens. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but I'm wasn't. We decided to take full advantage of having nothing planned and just take it moment by moment. We went out for dinner a lot. A lot more then we should have, I'm a little ashamed of that, but sometimes you just have to go crazy. The weather was beautiful, so every meal we ate was outside. I love doing this, it's one of the main things I long for during winter. Who doesn't love eating outside?

With beautiful weather to enjoy, we decided to go to the zoo and check out the new Arctic exhibit. It was very nice. Madison has a completely free zoo. And it's amazing. It's not a big zoo and it' doesn't have a huge number of animals, but the exhibits are quite large and the work they do is amazing. Especially since it's FREE. They just welcomed a baby orangutang and are helping mom and dad become great parents. We didn't get to see her, but the pictures of her are adorable.

They also have two juvenile grizzly bears that are adorable together. They were playing together and were just so cute. The zoo will have them until they are adults and then they will more onto bigger and better places.

The new polar bears were also adorable. They have a restaurant in the park that is right on the polar bear exhibit, so you can eat with the bears. It was pretty neat. We didn't eat there, but I plan on doing so in the future.

They also had new prairie dog pups. Oh my, they were some of the most adorable things I've ever seen. I would have happily stayed all day and watched the little ones play.

And this guy just made me laugh. He had the cutest little face and was just hanging out by his pond. I got a ton of photos of him because I was just a little smitten with him. What can I say, I love turtles.

After the zoo we headed down to State St. for a little car show. They had some beautiful cars. We ate lunch at a little Nepalese place and just enjoyed the day together. It was so nice to not have to be anywhere.

On Sunday we just stayed home and worked on some stuff around the house. I started a new mixed media piece. Which I wasn't that into it at the beginning, but now I'm really starting to like it. It just goes to show, that first impressions aren't everything.

We also worked on my new bead storage. I am super excited about this and I can't wait to show it off. But no photos yet, I'm going to wait for the big reveal, which I'm hoping will be this week or the next. I plan on sanding and painting today and hopefully by mid week it will be put together and even possibly installed. I'll give you an update on that as soon as I have one.

Weekend Wrap Up

What a weekend. I am still recovering from all the craziness. This past weekend was J's graduation party. The big kind of party. Family, friends, neighbors, strangers walking by. You know the kind; everyone was invited. It was a lot of fun, but parties like that are a lot of work.

I went to bed on Friday (okay, it was technically Saturday morning) at 2:00am and was up at 6:00am. So four hours of sleep was all I managed before I got up and started getting ready for the party. It was a very long day. But it was a very fun day and it was a lot of fun to see our friends and family. A lot of them we haven't seen for quite some time, with J being in school and all. So it was worth it. I unfortunately didn't get any photos because I was so busy being an awesome hostess. Oh well, next time.

I didn't just party this weekend. I worked on a bunch of new sketches and have a million ideas swimming in my head right now. So many ideas!

I also finished up my latest custom order. Okay, I still have to add the laces, but the hard part is all finished. Yay! This one was a lot of work and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I can't wait for it's new owner to see it. I really hope he's as happy with it as I am.

Today I plan on working a bit on this bad boy. It's been so long since I've done anything with it. I would love to finish it up by the end of June, but alas, I don't know if that will happen. Fingers crossed it does.

And of course, I could never get anything done without my faithful studio helper. She's a real slave driver. (Good god, I have to clean that window).

Weekend Wrap Up

Wow, what a weekend! It was a busy, happy, celebratory time here! J graduated with his masters of engineering. Well, technically he graduated in December, but he got to walk the stage this past weekend at the UW Madison ceremony. It was a full day, that's for sure.

We had to get down to campus at 9:30am to pick up his gown and have class photos taken. I entertained his parents while he did this (we got some coffee/tea and sat at the terrace). He had decided to forgo the large UW ceremony (it was all graduates in Camp Randell) because it was very hot and humid and he was more excited about the afternoon ceremony (oh yes, there were two ceremonies). So we headed downtown to get some brunch (and I got myself a couple of bloody mary's). After brunch we headed up to the Kohl Center for the ceremony. It was a nice ceremony with all the engineering graduates.

I am so proud of everything he has accomplished. It's not easy getting a masters degree while still working full time and remodeling a home. I don't know if I could have done it. I'm proud of him and what ever the future hold for us.

And even though it was a super busy weekend, I did find a little bit of time to work on my latest custom project. I better hurry up, this is due next week. Fingers crossed I get it finished in time.

Weekend Wrap Up

It's Monday! My birthday weekend (and week) just flew by. It was fun to hang out with friends, eat good food, enjoy some drinks, and have a fire. It was absolutely perfect weather for all of these things. Thank you to all of my awesome friends who helped me celebrate sometime this week. You

guys are amazing.

I got this amazing gift from J. It's a new DSLR to replace my 10 year old DSLR. I'm in love with this new one. It's quite a step up from my Canon Rebel XT (I think I might have mentioned this before, oh well). It's quite a bit larger and it has so many crazy functions. I can control it from my damn phone. FROM MY PHONE. Technology, it's crazy. I love it and I'm one lucky girl to have gotten such a great gift from my love.

I've been taking a lot of photos trying to get use to all the new functions and options. I'm in love, I really am. I've been mostly using the animals as my models, because I don't have much else. I will be able to take some pretty flower photos soon, but there is really not much blooming in the yard.

But a new camera also means new product photos. I've already started working on new photos and I can't wait to get a few new things listed. Hopefully I'll have some time this week to get new items up on Etsy. I think I can accomplish that.

After all the birthday celebrations (and our anniversary - 11 years), we did do some work around the house. I got the garden all ready to go. We installed new carpet on the porch, yay. J cleaned up the garage. See it wasn't just all fun and games around here ;-)

Weekend Wrap Up

Another weekend under the belt. Now it's time to get down to business.

This past weekend was a very productive one. I am now 99% moved into my new studio. Yay! I only have a few more things to accomplish and I'll be completely moved in. I'm so excited. I'm loving the new space. It makes me so very happy. And I can't wait for it to warm up here so I can plant some flowers outside the window. Yay flowers.

J and I also got some work done on the house. J's graduation party is at the end of May so we need to get our butt in gear. We took a trip to Menards and stocked up on new carpet, trim, paint, etc, etc. Good news, we used all our saved up rebates, so it cost us very little. I love when that happens.

I am also getting ready to teach my last class. I can't believe the month has gone by so quickly. Tomorrow is the last open lab and Wednesday is the last class until our reunion class in June. I am so proud of my students, they have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. I know they're going to do great.

Wednesday is not only my last class, it's also my birthday. Woot, woot. J and I are going out with my class helpers (that sounds funny calling them that) after class to celebrate.  And I'm patiently waiting for my birthday present. J got me a new DSLR. I've had my current one for about 10 years now, I think it's time to replace it. I'm super excited because it is a step up from my old one. I'm getting the Canon 70D. I am practically peeing my pants waiting for it. I've already started looking at new bags and lens and accessories. All things that I don't need, but want badly. I have not been this excited for something like this in a long time.

Weekend Wrap Up

Why hello Monday. I guess this means it's time for me to start my week. Blah. Well, not really. I really do enjoy Monday's. I know it's weird, but I enjoy getting back to a normal routine and getting things done. Not that I didn't get things done over the weekend, I was a hard working girl this past weekend.

I've made pretty good progress in the studio. I am so close to having the new studio finished and ready to go. I got my small storage containers up, now they just need to be alphabetized. I got shelves up in the closet and things put away. Now I just need to build my bead storage, find a counter top for my torch area, and put up a shelf or two. And I'll be all set. Super creativeness can once again happen. :-)

I also got a little bit of work done on my beaded tin. The sides of the tin are now painted a nice glass black. The only thing left to do is decide what I want to do with the inside of the tin. I might add some leather or I might just paint it. I'm not sure. But I am pretty happy with it so far. I'm hoping to get some better photos of it soon. Photos that really show off it's beauty.

I also got a little bit of work done on a custom order. This is the beginning of a bead and stud leather gauntlet. I'm really excited to see this one finished, but it's a lot of beadwork. So I'll just keep working at it and I hope to reach my deadline of the end of May. I really hope I can accomplish that.

And finally we did get to have a little bit of fun. It was a good friends birthday, so we went out for dinner and drinks and a show. Here they are with the musician while J tries to take a photo. It was a lot of fun and a nice break from all the work.

Weekend Wrap Up

Wow, last week was quite a week. It was so crazy, I forgot to write my blog post on Friday. Sorry about that. But I think I'm caught up (I sure hope I am).

So what happened last week?

Well Wednesday was my first Entrepreneurship Class. It went well. Okay, who am I kidding, it was a train wreck. Okay, maybe not that bad. There were a lot of technical issues that popped up and it took a lot of time out of the class to deal with them. I think we have come up a with a good solution for this, so it should be smoother sailing from now on.

So the end of my week was redoing my lecture for Saturday and trying to figure out how to make the class run smoother from now on. I really didn't get a lot of time to work on anything else before the next class.

Saturday was the long 4 hour photography class. This went a lot smoother then expected. We almost ran short on time again, but the classes are filled with a lot of info and there is very little time to do it in. It was a loooooong day, about 7 hours to be exact. But I'm very proud of everyone in the class and all they've been able to accomplish so far. And J rewarded me with a dinner at the Old Fashioned, so I was happy with that.

I didn't accomplish all that much on Sunday. J and I did some house/yard work. A little spring cleaning. I worked on class stuff a bit. I also did a little bit of work on a custom order. The weather was beautiful, so we took the little pug pug up to the park to play for a bit. Nothing too exciting.

Now I have to get my butt back into the swing of things. I need to work on the studio a bit. I need to work on a custom order. I need to work on Wednesday's class. And I need to continue working on my product photography and getting new items listed (like millions of triangles).

Weekend Wrap Up

Monday, Monday. A new week and a fresh start. This past weekend was quite uneventful. I know it was Easter, but we don't celebrate it in anyway, so we just stayed home and worked on things that needed to get done.

I've been working on product photos for the last few weeks, which is taking so much time. But I'm pretty happy with all the hard work.

I've also been doing some work on the new studio. Slowly, but surely, it's coming together. Even if it looks like a mess right now.

I took some time to work on my class. I have to make sure it's all put together, class starts this Wednesday. I've got my class list and finalized my lectures. I will go over the first lecture today or tomorrow and I should be ready. I'm nervous, but excited. I can't wait for Wednesday. :-) 

That's about all that happened this weekend. Nothing exciting. I wish I had more, but I don't.

Weekend Wrap Up

It's Monday again. Funny thing, I'm glad it's Monday. It was such a crazy weekend, I'm glad to be back to somewhat normalcy today. Unfortunately, I have to make up all the things I wanted to accomplish this past weekend today, but at least it will seem like a little bit of a break.

So what did I do this that is making my so happy for Monday?

Well it started with Thursday, pizza night at my house. J and I's friend came over (this is nothing new, he comes over every  Thursday) to hang out, drink some wine, eat some pizza, and record some music. Typical Thursday.

Then on Friday I started a new product photography session. I am updating all my photos on etsy and trying to get caught up with all the products I don't have listed yet. Hint, it's a lot. I spent all day taking photos, with only a small break to work out. It was not as fun as it sounds, but I am pretty happy with the results. What do you guys think? Is it worth all this effort?

So that's what I did all day Friday. And as soon as J got home from work, we were off to a good friend's birthday dinner. It was a nice dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Yum! And we enjoyed a few glasses of wine and talked about cats after dinner. I know our lives are pretty hard core. ;-)

Saturday was a big recording day for J and our friend. They recorded all day long. Which gave me more time for product photos. I enjoyed a second day in a row taking photos and editing them. I'm not even close to being done. Maybe someday I'll finish.

After they were done recording our friend's girlfriend stopped by and we enjoyed a bottle or two of wine and spaghetti and meatballs. So between photos I also made red sauce and meatballs. I'm a multitasker.

So that would make for a busy weekend, but it wasn't over yet. On Sunday we got up to just disgusting weather; freezing rain, wind, and cold. Yuk. I just wanted to crawl back in bed, but I couldn't. We had promised to take the inlaws out for dinner because we haven't seem them in months. We took them to the Brazilian grill, which made them both very happy and all of us filled with foods.

So like I said, it was a busy, busy weekend and I'm happy to be back to somewhat normalcy this Monday. My day will be filled with more product photography, putting the finishing touches on my custom order, and running to the store. Exciting. But I'm just glad I can do it on my own schedule and not worry about getting ready for dinner with friends (don't get me wrong, I love our friends and family, I just need a little break).

And speaking of custom orders. Look at these beauties. I just need to put the laces in and they will be off to their new home tomorrow. I'm so happy with how they turned out. I'll post some completely finished photos tomorrow.

Weekend Wrap Up

Well another weekend has passed and a new week begins. Too bad my week began with 4 inches of snow. Yeah.  After a stretch of gorgeous weather, the snow is back. But this is normally what happens in WI in March and it won't last long. It will probably be gone by the end of the week. But it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Moving on. The weekend was a busy one. We visited with friends on Friday. We partook in some good ol' WI Friday fish fry. It was actually pretty good. I'm not going to lie, I like me some fish fry.  It's terrible for you, but oh so delicious.

We didn't even attempt to watch any of college basket ball. I guess the Badgers won both games and are on to the Sweet 16. That will make everyone on campus pretty happy.

I held a mock class on Saturday. It was pretty informative. I got some good feedback from my friends. Granted as the night went on, the drunker everyone got.  Maybe multiple bottles of wine were a bad idea. But despite the wine, it did help me out.  I think I'm ready for this first class and I think I'm going to rock it.

Let's see, what else did I do this weekend? I got a little bit more work done in the studio. That feels nice. Now I'm just waiting on shelves in the closet and my custom built bead holder. J's going to help me design it. Having an engineer around sure is helpful. :-)

And of course I got a most of the work done on those custom cuffs I've been working on. I just need to finish up the second on and add laces and they will be finished!!!  And almost two weeks ahead of schedule.  Yay!

Well that's what I accomplished this weekend. Now I should go get my butt outside and shovel the driveway and then run to the grocery store. What did everyone else do this past weekend? Weekend Wrap Up

What a weekend!  I am exhausted and ready to get back to some sort of routine.  Don't get me wrong, I had a ton of fun this weekend.  We cleaned the whole house, top to bottom, on Saturday.  It was nice because it needed it bad.  Then we had some friends that just moved back to WI over.  It was the first time they had seen our house (hence the cleaning).  Then we went out for an amazing dinner and some drinks.  It was so nice to see them and spend some time with them.  I think we might make this a once a month thing :-)

I also got some work done in the studio.  I painted my shelves grey, which I think looks really nice with the yellow walls.  I even started putting them up.

And I got the pegboard up, so my tools have a home.  It's still a bit of a mess, but I'm happy with the progress.  And of course, I wouldn't be able to do anything with out my helper cat, who has decided that she needs to be with me at all times.  Not on my lab (she is NOT a lap cat), just with me.  Great!

I also started adding the glass pyramids to my latest custom order.

I really like how it looks.  I'm excited to finish it up this week to see what it looks like finished.  I hope he likes this one.

And finally, I have started on the second cuff in this custom set.  This will be the fourth cuff using this pattern, but just the colors have been changed.  So this one will look like the one above when finished.  I am liking the color combo on this one, but I'm a little scared my customer won't.  But I guess we'll see.

Weekend Review

Well this is a day late, but that's okay.  It was a busy weekend and I needed to get caught up with a lot of stuff yesterday.  :-)

Like I said, it was a busy weekend over at Casa de Three Fates.  I got a lot of things moved into my new studio and unpacked a lot of boxes.  It's so exciting.  It's slowly becoming a studio.  I just have to put up my shelves, build a bead container holder, and figure out what I'm doing with my lampworking things.  The rest is pretty much done.  I should have some new photos this week or next week. 

Getting my new studio in shape was fun, but I guess I wanted more.  Saturday night J and I went out for a friends birthday.  We had a nice dinner and drinks after.  I got a parking ticket, the first one of my life.  But, things like this happen and we had fun, so I guess I can't complain too much.

Then on Sunday, J's parents stop by for a short visit.  We haven't seen them since Christmas, so it was nice.  We grilled out.  It was the first grill of the season, with many more to come.  I made steak, salmon, asaragus, and portabellas.  So, pretty much a meal of all my favorite things.

Because there was so much going on this weekend, I didn't get a lot of time to bead.  I did make some time and I finished up all the beadwork on my latest custom order.  Now I just need to add the pyramids and finish off the leather and it will be done.  Woot, woot.  

 
I do love this pattern.  This is the third one he's had make in this pattern and I have one more to make him.  I'm pretty happy with how they look when finished.  I love the colors of this one and I can't wait to see it finished.  My goal is to have it finished by the end of the week.  Let's see if I can do that.

Weekend Wrap Up

Blah, I'm late with my weekend wrap up post again, but luckily, not as last as last week.  It was a productive weekend, but it was full of illnesses.  J got sick on Friday and just as he was starting to feel better, I got sick.  Yay.  And we're not sick with the same thing, so that means there is a chance that he will get sick again with whatever I have.  I've done so good this year.  I've only gotten sick once this winter, I thought I was in the clear.  I guess not.  So now I'm trying to take some product photos and do a little cleaning in the studio, but all I want is a nap, which I will probably take soon. 

Even with both of us being sick we did get some work done in my new studio.

We got the countertops installed.  YAY!  Now I have a work surface and I can decide where my shelves can go.  Okay, I lied a bit, we don't have them fully installed.  We have to install the corner supports, but at least they are in.  I'm so excited.

J also did some work on the surround for the water meter.  The last surround was huge and it had no access for the plumber or the city to get at the meter, so we made a better one.  This one is smaller and it is prettier.  It will be a nice little shelf for the printer when finished and if we have any other problems with the main water line (fingers crossed we won't), the plumber will have full access to the line. 

That was about all we did.  J did get some shelves cut for both his studio and mine.  But we haven't put them up yet.  I still have a huge mess in both my new and old studios, but we're making progress.  I did apply for a part time teaching position.  That's exciting.  I don't really know if I'm qualified, but I thought I would throw my hat in the ring and see.  That's all you can do, right?

A Very Late Weekend Wrap Up

So I completely missed my Weekend Wrap up this Monday.  I knew I had to do it, but I was exhausted.  Between having to be in the lab at 7:00 all weekend and then going to Chicago, I needed a little break on Monday.  So I'll do one now, even though the week is now almost over and a new weekend is about to start.  Oh well. 

We decided (last minute) to go to the Chicago Auto Show last Sunday.  We haven't been since J started school.  But now he's all graduated and we can start going again.

It was a nice little trip.  Just to the two of us.  We made good time down there and got to the McCormick Place around 2:00.  Plenty of time to enjoy the show and get out of there at a reasonable time.  But then we sat in traffic for what seemed like a lifetime.  We didn't park until after 3:30.  And parking was the same as admission into the show.  But we didn't let that bother us, we still wanted to enjoy the show.

We saw a lot of really beautiful cars.  Even if you're not a car person, you still have to admire the beauty and artistic value of these cars.

We were excited to see the Acura NSX, but were a little disappointed in the fact that it was not a finished car (this thing is supposed to be in production soon and there is no interior, what's up with that?).  It still was beautiful.

The Ford Gt was by far our favorite car there.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  I think I took a hundred pictures just of this car.  Okay, maybe not a hundred, but I bet around 50.

We also went to the car show to look at a few cars we are interested in buying.  You know, normal people cars.  My car is starting to get up there in age and we are thinking about replacing it with something J can commute with and save gas.  We were able to narrow down it down to the Chevy Volt and the Toyota Prius.  Both were nice cars and both had what we're looking for.  Now we just need to look for some used ones (we barely ever buy new).

So overall the show was fun.  We got to look at crazy concept cars and everyday cars that we might actually buy.  And of course we stopped for some pizza on the way home.  The number one thing I miss, Chicago style pizza.  Sorry Madison, you have amazing food, but nothing compares to my favorite pizza.

Other then that the weekend was quite boring.  I had to work every morning.  We did go out for sushi on Friday (our Valentine's date).  We had dinner at Red Sushi, which was amazing.  But no crazy parties, no friends over, not even any beadwork.  Pretty laid back.

The rest of the week has been pretty laid back as well.  I had a doctor's appointment; I'm healthy.  I finished up some custom orders, photos soon.  I worked in the lab.  And I worked a bit on my bead embroidered tin.  I know, I live the high life.  I am crazy!!!  Ha!

Weekend Wrap Up

Monday, Monday.  Is it really Monday already?  This week (and many to come) is going to be a crazy one.  I'm starting a new project this week.  One that is seven days straight (that means data needs to be collected for seven days straight) and one of those seven days is 16 hours long.  Blah, the life of a biology researcher.  I don't mind too much, okay maybe I'll mind when I'm in the lab at 1 o'clock in the morning and then back in the lab at 7 o'clock.  That's how research works.  I'm just hoping it doesn't make me so exhausted that I don't get any beady things done.  That would make me sad.

But enough about what's coming up this week, what did I do this weekend?

Well on Friday we went out for dinner and drinks for a friends birthday.  It was nice.  We went to The Old Fashioned, which is a local place that has awesome food.

I got an old fashioned (of course), cheese curds (some of the best in the state), and a house burger which consists of burger with a fried egg, fried onions, garlic sauce, cheese, and bacon.  It's not for the girl that's on a diet.  But I did get a side salad and I only ate half the burger.  Hey we all have to go crazy sometimes.

Then the rest of the weekend was spent working on my studio.  Well, some of the weekend was spent laying on a heating pad because I totally over did my workout on Friday.  But most of it was working on the studio (and doing my taxes because I like to get those babies done as soon as I can).

   
It's going good.  I have gone through a lot of stuff, most of which I will be getting rid of at the spring garage sale.  I organized all my fabric and leather.  I put up some shelves.  And I made this huge mess in the middle of my new studio.  I'm really hoping that by next weekend I'll have some of this picked up and put away.  I'm just waiting on the installation of the counter-tops.  Once those are in, I'll be able to put up more shelves and start putting things away.  Fingers crossed this all happens by next weekend.  

So that's all that happened here this weekend.  Well, I did get a little bit of time in a bead, but you'll have to wait on photos.  What did everyone else do this past weekend?  Parties?  Arty goodness?  Chilled out?  I'd love to hear about it . 

Weekend Wrap Up

Another weekend gone and another week is starting.  Crazy.  This past weekend was the Superbowl, as I'm sure most of you know.  We did nothing for that.  We're not really into football, so we just stayed home and enjoyed the game in the comfort of our own house.  We also got a snow storm Saturday into Sunday, so we really didn't want to leave the house.  Well, we may or may not left the house for a beer run and some cheese for chili con queso, but those are things people can't live without.  ;-)

We also picked up our new treadmill.   

This way I don't have to go out in that snow to try and run.  Hey, we don't have sidewalks in our neighborhood and the streets are terrible (flooded with water all the time).  And now I don't have to convince myself to drive to the gym and work out.  It's pretty nice and I really like it (yes I've used it). 

And you can see  some future projects in the background.  We have an old dart board we want to restore and a Corona display that we want to spruce up for the bar area.  Hopefully this summer we'll work on those.      

And of course, I got some beading done.  Here is my current project (well one of them).  I worked on it while I "watched" the Superbowl.  I'm so excited for it and I can't wait to finish is, but I have a custom order that needs to get done by next week, so this one will be put on the back burner for now.

Weekend Wrap Up

Well another weekend has passed us by and another Monday is upon us.  The snow is falling in large flakes here today, but I don't think we're supposed to get hit with a lot, 1-3 inches.  It's quite lovely, but I'm still ready for winter to be over and warmer weather.

Anywho, this weekend was nice and relaxed.  J and I have decided we need to get a treadmill (who wants to run in the cold and snow), so Saturday we went and checked out our options.  I'm really hoping to get that in the next week or so.  It will be so nice to have something in the house.  And I'm already planning my treadmill laptop table, so I can walk while I do things like edit photos and write blog posts.  I'll keep everyone updated on that.

I also to a new little present for myself.

It's a stud press setter and I can't wait to use it.  It sets studs in leather, so that means I don't need to do it by hand anymore.  My hands are already thanking me because setting studs by hand is not a fun job.  Sometimes my fingers are so sore after, I can't even type on the computer.  So I'm pretty psyched about this.  Unfortunately, the studs I have are too large (even though the company told me they were 6mm studs), so now I need to find new 6 mm black studs.  Hopefully I can, but boy it sure is hard to find some.  If anyone knows of a place to find black pyramid studs in a 6mm size, let me know, I will be forever greatful to you.

  
On Sunday my mom, sister, and my two nieces stopped by.  It was a nice day to just get caught up and hang out.  I gave my mom the beaded flower I made for her.  She liked it a lot.  And J and I enjoyed playing with my niece.  This was also the first time we had seen the baby.  She was so tiny, yet little Yoda was terrified of her for the first few hours.  She got over it.
